Very good points, even geographic regionalization as it once existed, still
had vast amount of distances between universities and their ability to travel to those sites. The original PAC xx had Arizona schools traveling to the likes of Washington St or Oregon/Oregon St. Even UC Berkley is not a short drive from SFO or Oakland given the traffic situations there. Regardless of what the make up is using planes, trains, auto/bus transportation, the time spent to go to & from was never a short trip for most
