Worst was US Open Golf Qualifier - Tanglewood, Clemmons NC


I was a 2 handicap at the time. Picked my drinking buddy as a caddie who knew nothing about golf figuring he would talk about girls and drinking. I knew I would be nervous and didn't want to get in my own head. Worked like a charm for first 6 holes. I am 4 under through 6 and almost definitely on the way to qualifying and winning the event.

After another birdie on 6, he says (and I still remember his face when he said it, the trees and people around) "You're playing amazing. You are winning this tournament for sure. We are headed to the Open baby!". I proceed to shoot and 87 with a total collapse. :)
