Buddy of mine was the security ops mgr at my last company

broke 85% of all passwords (had the 8 char requirement and the corp leadership wouldn't allow them to require special chars or such) in less than an hour with a cracker tool. Mine was on the 10% they couldn't crack.

Over 30% of the cracked passwords were password, the persons name or abcd1234...that is so sad.
