Saw that doc, and totally agree. MTV and the formulatic style....


they went to (Eliminator, Afterburner, the 80s stuff, with use of synths, and very formulatic, easy drum beat patterns) was way way different than their first 6 or so albums.

I mean, the 80s stuff was super, a lot of fun, and the image marketing of them thru MTV made a MASSIVE amount of money, but it was a big departure from Texas boogie woogie blues.

Man did they strike the MTV iron while it was hot.
