Thanks. My question wasn’t about how planes work and how


pilots fly them, just why two virtually identical commercial airliners will come in either very fast or noticeably much slower. The fuel supply/weight parameters you described and AOA or HUD are more related to the complex skills you had landing all the planes you flew.

I guess if I take what you said and put it in simple terms a non-pilot would get, a fuel-laden plane is heavier than a plane with less fuel weight so it lands slower. That about right?
