made their highest and best offer to the PAC 12 a while back when Scott was pushing that PAC12 equity deal and he rejected them. The PAC !2 valuation showed an arrogance and lack of grounding in reality that was comical. IF ESPN/Disney were to make another offer now it would come at a steep discount I think as ESPN pretty much controls the table. The window is shrinking as well because with the Comcast renewal in the next twelve months all Disney's carrier agreements(their leverage) will have been renegotiated and gives(Disney/ESPN) little upside. Any offers after that window would be even lower. Scott screwed the PAC12 coming and going. I think given Fox's LA presence and CBS' pullback from the SEC makes them more likely alternatives to partner but, I think any deal will come at a substantial haircut given the PAC 12 weakness and just the overall landscape of television and college sports. I think you are right about what will push the next dominoes to fall and we will see how smart or dumb the PAC 12 is in fairly short order. They do not have a lot of time to putz around finding another commissioner and even if they move fast if they have not considered what their ultimate TV goals and plans for the network might look like they may resemble the guest who showed up at the party only to find it was last night.
