I wouldn't put 15K in that truck, I would keep it as a banger and keep it

running as a backup. Get a good gas mileage car assuming taxes and insurance in your area will not break your bank. I currently have a 97 Tahoe (200K miles) that I put a new transmission in and the previous owner put a new crate motor in, it still nickles and dimes me.
