It is a big deal for sure, but if a big club wins not as much.


If you win the FA Cup and you are not in the Top 5 of the Premier League standings at the end of the year, the FA Cup automatically qualifies you for the Europa Championship (2nd largest Euro tourney for club teams). It is also a big deal for clubs playing up one level or more to see if they can knock off a heavy weight. The heavy weights often don't make as big a deal out of the tourney until the last couple of rounds if they are trying to win it.
