I have hoisted quite a few at the Turf Tavern


Although it's been quite a while. I studied at Trinity College back in 1992, which was just a block over from the location of the Turf Tavern (past the Broad Street/Parks Road intersection heading west). Also spent quite a bit of time at The Mitre on the High Street, although I enjoyed sampling a lot of the pubs in the center of the city back then. Friend of mine was in London that summer and we spent one pleasant afternoon doing the Oxford variant of the "Blacksburg Crawl."

If restrictions/policies allow I may have an opportunity to get back there this fall. Fingers crossed.
