Question for UFC people


Are there any rules on moves that can't be done in the octagon? I was watching last night and a woman was standing over another woman, and her head was caught in a scissor lock. Why she didn't just stand up, pick her opponent up then slam back on the mat. Do it a few times in a row and the one on the bottom would have a tough time getting a breath. Then move in for the kill.

I see elbows to the head, kicks to the head, and trying to break an arm, etc, so this seems like it should be legal
