When my daughter was a Sr. in HS,


we had a very good hitting team, and the 1st game of the season we spanked a pretty good Tennessee High team something like 23-4. We batted around twice in one inning. I told our coach after the game, “I hope we didn’t use up all of our hits in this game.” By George, as the season went along, our offense got worse and worse, until we weren’t scoring much at all. I hope this is not the case. I don’t think it will be. But, the more the season progresses, the more tape is out on our hitters. And I’ve always felt that good pitching trumps good hitting any day.
