I can't speak....


for the people who are all over it now. However, AT's lineup and more importantly the hitting depth backing up the starters was not real comparable to today and that is before getting in to differences in coaching, hitting philosophies and team speed. Not to mention the young lady normally hitting in the two hole being out probably impacts things more than we can appreciate. Sometimes things go in cycles and a little patience is needed. Sometimes it is just the luck/unluck of hitting in to an untimely double play. A couple of slow weekends should not be a five alarm fire. The key is not letting 2 turn into 4 and 4 into 6. Myself, I'm giving it some more time before pushing the alarm bell.
