I'm now following the ACC Network's lead this week and going to my basement

Duke is not allowing any media nor fans to the softball games this week, so I will be posting from my basement this weekend (actually my family room, but basement sounds better).

It has been a great run, so I am thankful to the VT Sports Information Team as well as the opposing teams for allowing me access to the other away venues.

There is actually a grassy area outside the outfield at Duke, but UVA folks have told me that Duke is preventing fans from even watching from there, so I am not going to take a chance of not seeing the game, so I will be watching it from home like the rest of you.

The good news is that I can now yell at the screen and I don't have to follow the "no cheering in the pressbox rule."

Duke is reportedly so concerned that I have heard that the VT team is even having to bring their own practice balls to Durham. That sounds a bit over the top to me, but I'm a wild and crazy old guy, so what do I know.

Anyway, the game preview should be up sometime later today. It looks like an instant classic to me.
