On Saturday, there was a play on a Kelsey Brown grounder in which the fielder bobbled the ball and Kelsey beat it out. The hit/error determination could have gone either way, but I did tell Lori that with Kelsey's speed, I just didn't see the fielder being able to throw her out even if she had fielded it cleanly.

However, I was also quick to tell her to trust her instinct and if she thought it was an error, then call it that way, so she did. End of discussion so I thought.

However, the next morning, she told me that she had reviewed the play several times that night and had changed the ruling to a hit and had already changed the box score.

That was impressive.
