I find that Ikea offers better quality, though simpler designs, than those
type of stores. Seriously, outside of the super cheap stuff at Ikea, some things have decent materials (solid, though maybe not hard wood). If you put it together carefully it usually turns out well. Heck, for a few things, I've added wood glue while assembling and it ends up staying a little stabler than it might have otherwise.
Their super cheap crib is solid beech and sells under $100. I've seen the same simple design but solid materials with tables, shelves, and cabinets; again not at their absolute cheapest line. Not sure about dressers though. [Post edited by jmanatVT at 04/07/2021 08:35AM]
