I know you weren't, and I didn't mean to suggest you were.


I just don't know that "perfection" is a realistic expectation from police. Unfortunately there are occasionally going to be tragic incidents and mistakes that are made. That doesn't mean we should not hold officers accountable for poor performance, and the court will have to decide this particular officer's punishment.

I'm just saying that I see a lot of people wanting to weigh in every time there is an instance of police misconduct (this isn't directed at you or anyone else here - moreso media talking heads), and everyone has lots of suggestions about what should have been done, but it seems like none of those people actually want to do the job themselves.
