...coming. As far as this client seems to be concerned, the design phase isn't complete until construction is complete. At this point in the project, I need to be focused on managing the schedule, but instead virtually all I do is coordinate and price changes.
We are also caught between the landlord (who is financing the construction and with whom our contract is written) and the tenant, who is the one requesting all of the changes. The landlord wants construction done as soon as possible so they can begin charging rent, while the tenant doesn't really seem care when we finish - he just wants to make sure the finished product is exactly what he wants. So being granted additional time to implement these changes is my biggest concern. We really need the landlord to help manage the client, but they don't really have someone to fill that role, so our company is kind of having to do construction management by default.
