Only if the Pac 12 says it does

BYU might have gotten a bid to the Big 12 a few years ago but for three factors. The first was that its policies were politically incompatible with what the stakeholders at several Big 12 schools could tolerate. The second was that there was no obvious number 12, with apologies to Houston, Cincinnati and UCF. The third and most overlooked factor is that it is about the same distance from Provo, Utah to Norman, Oklahoma as it is from Morgantown, West Virginia to Norman.

BYU is geographically isolated and if it wants to move up, the only good option is the Pac 12. And there is no way some of those liberal schools could find political compatibility with BYU.
