I've proposed bringing BYU in as "football only" before.

The consensus here was too far away. But today the ACC is looking for easy way to add revenue.

They would bring in some revenue for their games, and it would only require 4 ACC teams flying out to Utah each year for football.

Plus it could be arranged for limited games in other sports. BYU is in the same conference as Gonzaga for non-football. They would stay there, but the ACC could schedule a handful of basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, golf, soccer, etc. with them. Just not a season of these. Could get the ACCN the opportunity to charge local rate in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, and perhaps Hawaii since BYU is on Oahu.

The ACC would get some money for the football games, and BYU would get to claim P5. I think it could work. Would BYU prefer PAC12 or Big XII, sure. But PAC12 doesn't want, and BigXII is in a contract that overpays them now. So they don't want to bust that bubble right now.
