I don't recall them lying to get the warrant.


I understand that Taylors former boyfriend was a known drug dealer, for whom the warrant was for. He was known to stay at that residence and had connections to Taylors current boyfriend. He also used that address to have drugs sent frequently. He was also known to be armed. (I'm sure I'm forgetting more... But it's late). The no knock warrant... Which was common and legal was issued... However witnesses say they did indeed announce their presence before entering (although Taylors boyfriend says he didn't hear it).
At best, and this is what seems to me most probable, the police served the warrant and her boyfriend shot one of the cops, at which point they returned fire. One bullet accidentally shot an innocent woman in a nearby room.
I don't blame the police for firing their guns after one of their officers was shot. I also feel bad (assuming he is telling the truth) for the boyfriend if he shot at the cops thinking it was an intruder.
To me, that's the tragedy.
