A few point and a questions


1. I always thought adding schools like Rutgers just to get cable subscribers was a move built on shifting sand. Anyone could have figured out that that model wasn't going to last forever, and that the conference would end up holding the bag. Rutgers might be the least desirable team in the P5. While the ACC has Duke and Wake, at least there is tradition there. No other fanbase in the Big Ten gets excited to play Rutgers.

2. This author lost me at Boise and Houston. The only non P5 teams worth coveting ate BYU and Notre Dame. ND could name their conference of course. And BYU is being held back for non-football reasons. If any other G5 school was worth anything, they'd be in a P5 conference already. Am I wrong about this? Are there other schools that would be valuable to add to a P5 conference? If so, name them.

3. The author make is sound like the BigXII has got it together while the Pac12 is struggling. Assuming this is the case, do you think Colorado would prefer to go back to the BigXII? And does the Pac12 regret expanding for UU and CU?
