At some point the schools may decide there is no values to continue

sponsoring participating in bowl games. If that were to happen, then it could open the door for Playoff, Inc. to expand the playoffs to 24, 32, or more teams. I guess it is even possible that Playoff, Inc. could create a second tournament (like the NIT or the Europa League in European soccer) to keep the number of games down and still increase the number of participating teams.
