I'm curious, why do you think 18 or 20 would water down the SEC?

My understanding is that if they get more teams, they just negotiate a bigger contract. So everyone gets more in terms of dollars.

If you mean watered down competition, I suppose I'm curious about that view as well. For me, the extra variety would make each season more unique and interesting. It would be so nice to not play BC every year.
