What is the point of a 20 Team Conference

Teams in the same conference won’t play each other for years. In effect it becomes effectively 2 Conferences whose champions play each other in the end.

At the end of the day the product will dictate the money. In the end more money being split 20 ways won’t like be better than less money being split 14 or 16 ways.

Teams like Ole Miss, MSU, South Carolina, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Arkansas will be even less relevant than they are now. Tennessee might join that list if OU, UT and a couple others come in.

We might as well all become independents.
