If the ACC is going to go with pods, then I would think either the 4 NC


schools would be in the same pod or the ACC would use the zipper model to ensure more rivalries remain annual games. A downside to placing all 4 NC in 1 pod is that Clemson, GT, FSU, and Miami would likely end up in another pod. That is a negative because it would place the other pods at a disadvantage in recruiting. A downside to the ACC using the zipper model for the pods is that UNC may not be able to continue playing Duke and NC State every year because will have to decide if it wants to be paired with Duke or NC State. Also, VT may not be able to continue playing UVA and Miami every year.
