Any format that gives a bye to anyone is an awful idea .

A bye is way too advantageous for the team receiving the bye. This is not the pros. Keep it equal for everyone. Everyone needs to play the same amount of games in total (in a “normal” season).

So 4, 8 or 16. Currently I prefer 8. I have a few thoughts on how to make it work for all and will post later.
