Here's the deal.
Look at Israel. That's simply not the case. This is not the Polio vaccine. It's a glorified new-type of flu shot. Covid is endemic. It's not going away, and we can't prevent it. The VAST majority of people do not suffer for more than a week. The deadly / serious cases are statistically insignificant.
My point is this discussion is not something to lose friends and family members over. Vaccination is not something worth alienating and denigrating everyone around you for having a different opinion on. This is absolute madness.
If the vaccine were 100 percent effective at preventing the disease and posed absolutely no risk at all, this type of reaction would be warranted. How many lose their $%*^ over your friends and family not getting the flu shot? Probably none. Yes this is more transmissible, but the vaccines are about as effective.
I am going to be vaccinated soon. I do not like the mRNA vaccine, it's efficacy, nor anything how it's being mandated. I'm getting it to shut up A'holes, not b/c I feel it poses any real benefit to me. In mid-30s males the chance of dying from loved is less than 0.2%. The chance of mycarditis caused by the vaccine is not much lower. I've had more early and mid-30s friends and coworkers die suddenly from myocarditis in the last year than ANYONE I know of die from Covid.
To me it's a toss up and I'd RATHER take my risks with Covid. That option is less available these days as those in power are completely ignoring science and statistics despite their cult like chanting of "trust science."
