Play calling isn't the main problem, execution is

Our QB missed a potential wide open TD right before half and THEN, we missed a chip shot FG. either of those two things happen, and worse case is OT.

QB also never saw a wide-open receiver on another drive.

Score 10-14 points, on just those two plays, and everyone is talking about how great of a win it was in a very hostile environment.
