Microsoft office activation help needed...

I bought a used laptop several years ago as i needed to use software that wouldn't work on anything newer than windows 7 (32bit). The place i bought from had been in business several years so i figured i was ok. I was supposed to come with a valid copy of office.

But now after working fine for years i get a message that my office professional plus 2013 is not activated. This seems to be a version sold to large offices as it tells me to contact my administrator. Guessing my copy was never valid. And of course the computer store has closed.

I have found activation keys for sale and even some for free but i am leary or trying them. I have also thought about trying open office. Or contacting Microsoft to see if i can pay a reasonable cost for a license (i didnt see any option for that though)

It gave me 30 days, i got 21 left lol. Any recommendations besides buy a mac?
