"what's the cheapest way to address the current attendance needs?" I mean there is a reason the East Stands are that much taller than and vastly different from the West Stands. It wasn't until the SEZ was added that people really started to notice the height difference between the 2 stands. Hence why I implied that the prior administrations bear some of the blame for the current problems. When VT decided to add the East Stands to Lane Stadium (I forget the exact year) and go with that design instead of a design that mirrored the West Stands, then it started VT down this path.

As each year passes the price tag only goes up because if VT ever decided to connect 2 structures together, then it would be required to bring everything up to code. For some things that may be impossible without demolishing the entire structure and starting over. At some point I would think it would be much cheaper to just build a new stadium than to gut or demolish existing structures during a renovation/remodeling project.
