Not sure this is an “IF” situation, but agree completely.

This is a very unfortunate situation, but I have to believe the decision has been made and barring going “5-0” down the stretch, Justin Fuente will be dismissed on or around 12/16/21. Odds we go “5-0” down the stretch……..probably 200:1 or worse.

The pick will be (or should be) an east coast guy that’s been a proven performer at the coordinator level over time. Lots of names can fit in that bucket. 100% w bandit on it will be from P5 tree and I suspect (my opinion) an SEC flavor.

I suspect it’ll be a 3 mil type deal loaded w incentives so that he has enough cash to fill out a staff and Whit can cover the termination costs - likely structured over 3-5 years.

You go from 4.5mil (Fu’s 2022) salary to $3mil (new guy) there’s 1.5mil towards the buyout / net net zero.

But, who knows - maybe a bigger splash w a P5 guy who commands a 4-5mil type salary.

I’m guessing solid current sec level co-ordinator w 3-3.5mil salary and incentives.
