We actively lobbied for decades to get where we could, and where we needed

to be, and as the history of the conference trials and tribulations detail, we even needed help from our rival, and Governor, to get where we are today.

I was living in Blacksburg through every step of the Metro, A-10, Big East, then ACC moves. Small town, you know, talking to people that really knew the complexity, not speculation.

We were journalistic fodder in SEC talk.
