I am a Virginia fan and have tremendous respect for your program. Your teams are tough, you have a tremendous fan base and I know you will bring your A game Saturday.

Personally I think you are better than your record. That opening game against UNC you all looked like the Top 10 team. Notre Dame was a game you could have and probably should have won.

I posted about a week ago that I was surprised that you fired Fuente. He was 46-31 in six years, that’s an average of 9-5 per year.

If you look at Beamer’s first six years was much worse than that and went 2-9 in year seven and you stayed with him.

The problem in college football is nobody’s got patience anymore. The same thing happened at UVA in George Welch’s last years he was still winning 7 games a year but the fan base had gotten used to that and wanted more.

In my opinion Tech needs to hire someone who would wants to stay long term. In my opinion if your next coach goes 46-31 his first six years I would hope you would keep him.

A lot of the Tech players liked Fuente and with the transfer portal is so easy to move on.

I look forward to Saturday and expect a war. It would not surprise me if Tech wins. We are very good offensively but have some problems on the defensive end.

Having played college football myself I have nothing but respect for the Hokies. Your fan base and game day experience is one of the best in the country!
