Frank Beamer and staff accomplished a lot with less in the early years. In the Fu era, a lot of the wins over lesser teams were not very impressive. A lot the losses were inexplicable and games that we should have won. Bottom line is that over six season, we were not moving in an upward trajectory and getting back to competing for ACC championships as we expect. Recruiting was middle of the road ACC and player development was spotty. The talent we do have not really given the opportunity to shine. Just too much inconsistency, it was not working.
