A few things


1. Good response. 8 or 12 is coming and ND will be in with regularity in the future.

2. The opposite could be said about Alabama. This year, if Alabama was playing the same schedule as an independent, and didn't have to play Georgia in the SECCG, they would probably make the playoff anyway. If they lose to Georgia, their chances of getting in are worse. They might need Cincy or Oklahoma State to lose.

3. In fairness to Pate, I think he prefaces this clearly in the segment that no one is going to make ND join a conference.
