If VT needs anything, its a splash hire..


The program desperately needs a rapid injection of credibility, relevance, interest, publicity, buzz, call it what you want.

A Herman hire says, "we're here to compete, keep your eye on us."

I think we're way beyond somebody just having east coast "ties". Top recruits want to choose a school that will be respected. Right now a VT choice is a sigh and eyeroll...INSTATE. That has to change.

We need to ante up, and make a statement hire that says we're in the game.

Herman is the only coach that can bring that right now.
