Do you guys plan to spend much time in the basement?


That will determine how much money you should put into wall insulation and heat. That wall board is better than nothing. If you want even more insulation, might consider framing the room and installing insulation between the block wall and the new framed wall.

If you have older sliding glass doors onto the patio, might consider replacing them with better (insulated) doors.
