Suppose the game was still played by normal humans?

Looking at some of those guys on the sidelines yesterday, it was obvious that they're not normal humans at all. They're not the product of evolution either. If evolution had driven that size, the cross sectional area of the ligaments would have increased to support the body mass... but they haven't. They're manmade beast playing in an arena.
