I doubled up the dose... for science... The doctor had told us to put one of our son's on it and I didn't want him doing it without me also knowing what it was like.

About 3am I looked at my watch and then rolled back over. my then 4YO was up using the bathroom and then I heard my 6 year old crying. The toilet flushed, my son washed his hands, and my wife got out of bed to go comfort the 6 year old. I played opossum as I didn't want to get up and needed my "beauty" rest. I had the need to go to bathroom because I was already awake but decided I could fall back to sleep easier if I didn't. Rolled over and listened to my wife talk to my son for about 15 mins but it sounded like the parents in peanuts. Then I heard my wife tell the 6 YO to get in the bath tub and I heard the water turn on. MY 4 YO then came and climbed in the bed and I decided to just give him a hug and let him sleep with us the rest of the night.

Woke up again at 5:30 and decided to actually go to the bathroom. Came back in and the 4YO wasn't in the bed. Thought that was odd as usually once in mom and dad's bed he's a lock. 630 rolled around and the whole family got up to get ready for school. Asked my wife what had bothered the 6yo in the night enough to start crying and make him get in the bath tub at 3am. She looked at me like I was on drugs and said, "What the H#&& are you talking about?"

She then says, "I wonder how 4YO did last night. Dr. S. said that melatonin can give crazy vivid dreams and to watch him." It was at that point I realized I had dreamed the whole 3am thing. No one had woken up, no one was crying, no one went to the bathroom, nor come into our bed. I told her I had taken melatonin and she busted out laughing... It has never been that vivid since, but I've driven off a couple bridges, missed a few semester ending classes, and gone to work without pants a few times...
