PER is HEAVILY reliant on points scored, you can't compare to his old role


1 point is equal to 1 rebound, 1 assist, or a missed basket in the PER formula. Storm was asked to be a volume scorer at Wofford and he was, which is why his PER was so high. He could take that many shots for us but our overall team efficiency would go way down.

Here's an example, all else equal with Storm's stats, if he scored 18ppg and had 2apg his PER would be 18. If he scored 5ppg and had 10apg his PER would be 13. Which would you rather have from your point guard?

Storm is trying to be the latter, but guys are missing the shots that he's creating.

Alleyne I'll give you, I'd have him max out at 20 mpg unless he gets a hot hand. His defense isn't demonstrably better than Pedulla or DNG at this point. It is that much better than Maddox however.
