1. He's ignorant. He doesn't mention that the OU and UT are coming now to the SEC is because their GOR is about to expire. Unless the SEC thinks they want to write a massive check to the ACC to get Clemson, FSU and ND, it ain't going down like that. I think they might write for ND, but not the other two. If Clemson and FSU had the power to go to the SEC, they'd already be there.

2. SEC damage control. The SEC got caught with their hand in the cookie jar. They wanted to cherry pick bluebloods before they got all those extra slots for the CFP. The SEC backstabbed A&M, and the Aggies spilled the beans (and don't think that USCe and UF didn't notice). As a result, the rest of college football wants a time out to think it over, so Finebaum gaslights and paints the other commissioners as backward. Meanwhile, the SEC has a lot of egos to feed and they have way too many programs that think they are entitled to a CFP slot.

Now. If the SEC wants to work with the B1G and negotiate a hostile takeover of the ACC, Big XII, and PAC-12, that's a different story. But the SEC aren't going to be able to do it unilaterally just yet.

BTW, Finebaum contributes nothing to college football. Zero. He's the Kato Kaelin of the SEC.
