While I totally agree that you can accomplish your job from home, but it


will be more difficult to get promoted and move up in your organization if you are not seen and known around the office / company. Your ability to develop effective relationships with a broad range of management is definitely effected if they don't recognize you by face from not seeing you around the office and having various interactions.
