Got a nice letter from the IRS today stating that:
- I need to file my tax return for the year 2020, and
- I have a credit on ‘my account’ for X dollars

With X dollars being the exact amount of the check that the IRS cashed last April, after receiving it IN THE SAME ENVELOPE AS MY 2020 TAX RETURN.

Come on!

(If it weren’t for the exact amount I’d written the check for, I’d consider it a scam letter…. But I’ll still find a phone number on my own to call, instead of using the one in the letter)

(And no I don’t eFile…. )
