Personally I think it is stupid that the ACC decided that VT should no

longer split the Duke and UNC games (meaning 1 team at home and 1 team away) every year. Since VT is playing 3 NC schools away this year, it wouldn't surprise me if VT ends up playing @Duke, @UNC, and @NC State 3 weekends in a row. Honestly, I'm surprised that VT hasn't played @FSU and @Miami in back-to-back weeks yet given the ACC's travel policy (meaning VT has to return to Blacksburg after the first game and then fly back down later in the week for the second game).

Given that the ACC has multiple states with at least 2 members in said state, the ACC should implement a scheduling policy where if a team is playing at least 2 teams from the same state in a given season, then the team always plays 1 at home and 1 away. In cases when a team is playing 3 NC schools, then it would always be either a 1-2 or 2-1 split (home-away) so no team finds itself in the same position as VT this year. Oh wait we are talking about the ACC and my proposal makes way too much sense for the ACC to implement it.
