The bigger issue is really that VT plays went from splitting the Duke


and UNC games to now playing them both home or away in the same season. VT isn't the only school in that position.

BC: Wake and NC State
Duke: UNC and Wake
L'ville: NC State and Wake
Miami: UVA and VT
NC State: FSU and Miami (2021)
Wake: Duke and NC State

There should be no reason the ACC's scheduling format should be structured that way particular if the 2 teams are division foes or a division foe and protected cross-division foe. Now I can understand if 1 of the opponents happens to be a rotating cross-division foe as was the case for NC State this past season. However, it seems like every season at least 1 team is experiencing that quirk.
