The moves that the ACC has made in expansion has destroyed some rivalries that I think would be good to restore for the fun of college sports in our region. Some that come to mind are:

WVU vs Pitt, WVU vs VT, WVU vs Syracuse

UConn vs Syracuse, UConn vs BC

A possible one to bring into the conference could be ND vs Navy.

WVU's rivalries are more football related. UConn's are more basketball related. It's kind of interesting I keep coming back to WVU when analyzing this stuff. I just think rivalries make it all fun for the fans. WVU isn't even a UVA rival, but I think our ACC teams in that region will have more fun in the ACC if WVU was part of the mix.

It's going to be too hard for the new members to develop meaningful rivalries with the North Carolina schools because the North Carolina schools have each other. UVA has VT and UNC. The league needs to restore another one from that former Big East region instead. Just my opinion.
