Scott Thomas built this program. He runs a clean operation full of some great players. He wins way more than he loses but with the exception of a couple of years seems to fall short of the big win.

The game is at least 80% pitching and when you have a great pitcher, or QB you could say, you stand a great chance to win the game.

This comparison is meant to be a compliment to Coach Thomas. I feel he is a great representative of our university. Could he change his offensive approach to the game as it seems to have changed in recent years? Yes. But those are the same opinions that have been expressed about Frank in the last couple of years.

With some improved recruiting, particularly in the circle, we have an excellent chance to return to the top of the ACC. I would prefer that we not have to make a change and start over. But that is why Whit Babcock gets the big pay check.
