I was under the impression that the North would be covered in many many feet of snow. Snow would even happen in the Riverlands, even down to Kings Landing.

Stannis' army got caught up in it, but no one else has really seemed to have any trouble with it. Yes, every scene at Castle Black shows some snowflakes falling, but I thought that THIS winter was supposed to be the big one for the White Walkers because it was going to be a very harsh and long winter.

But then, being a TV show, having 20 feet of snow in every scene would probably be difficult to film, so I understand, but from a story perspective, it doesn't seem as challenging as it should.
