Not many consider it a success

Not many even in the pac 12 consider it a success. This is by the people in the conference (who actually get that 1.2 million in profits. Industry people have also not said it is a resounding success.

That said. It is too early to label it a resounding success, success or a failure. Remember too there were years they lost money too. Have they made money life to date? I don't know. You talk like just because they are not making a profit annually that it is all income from here on out. That is not how it works. How did they capitalize the start up cost? How many subscribers will they pick up? How many will they lose to cord cutting? What is the annual production cost. How will cord cutting affect them? How will it affect their subscription rate? How does the balance sheet look? Etc

As it stands each acc school will get 3 million a year for 3 years. I am not even sure that the pac 12 is profitable life to date. If things hold steady, last year 1.2 million. Which conference will have earned more from a network by 2019? Time will tell.

Lastly, it is a different model. They could be a big winner. I have it as too early to call.
