I greatly appreciate the last line in your post...


I wish there were more that shared the same sentiment.

The "war on drugs" has been, basically, a dismal failure. Let's take a step back, look at the information out there (e.g. what have others countries in Europe done well/poorly dealing with drug problems), and make some changes.

I don't have the answers, but let's at least be willing to change our opinions and policies based on available evidence.
